The Homebrew are Matt de Harp, from Paris, playing guitar, harmonica and singing, Mark Mulholland, from Glasgow, on guitar and vocals, Boris Kontorowski, from Russia, on contrabass and vocals and Stéphane Doucerain, from Paris on drums, percussion and (on special occasions) vocals. The music they play draws on the styles of music popular in the 1930’s and 40’s on both sides of the Atlantic: swing and Cajun from America and musette and manouche (gypsy swing) from Europe, particularly France. Their repertoire includes a mixture of standards from this period, as played by artists such as Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole, and original compositions in similar styles.

The Homebrew provide an energetic and refreshing combination of humour and musicianship.
